While a single massage can provide benefits, the more frequently you receive them, the more long lasting those benefits will be. Receiving massage every 4 to 6 weeks can help your muscles stay loose, prevent injuries, and allow your mind to release stress.
While there may be some discomfort when tight or tense muscles are massaged, however, If you feel yourself tightening up or feeling pain for more than a moment, please tell your massage therapist so they can adjust the pressure.
Our professional massage therapists have been trained to drape sheets as needed to allow for modesty while still allowing access to the parts of your body receiving massage. If you are comfortable with full nudity, remember that our therapists will still use sheets to cover your private body areas.
Comfy and flexible/stretchy clothes.
Yes, but to get the most benefit from your massage, it is best to work out before. Your muscles will likely be tired from the exercise but warmed up for the massage. Working out immediately after could cause strain to your body or result in your being tired and accidentally causing injury. It is best to wait 12-24 hours before exercising to let your muscles recover.
You are not obligated to maintain a conversation with your therapist. That being said, you are encouraged to communicate if you need something in order to be more comfortable. We are here to provide you with the best experience possible; knowing if you are too hot, too cold, in an awkward position, or need a moment to use the rest room is a key part of that.
While we ask our clients to be mindful of cleanliness and hygiene, you are neither expected nor required to remove body hair, have manicured fingers, or styled hair. These are personal decisions that do not impact your massage. Be comfortable! Be you!
Similar to dining at a restaurant with a server, it is customary to leave an 18% – 25% gratuity. You can either hand it directly to your therapist after your massage.
This will vary drastically based on the reason or issue(s) the client is coming in for. Generally for a major issue, it may take 2-4 sessions per month for a few months. Monthly on a regular basis is suggested for general maintenance.
You will get off the table and get dressed as soon as the therapist leaves the massage area. Then it is suggested to drink a good amount of water throughout the day. It is also best to relax throughout the day in order to have the best benefits from the massage and prevent sore muscles. It is not advised since the muscles and nervous system have been put into a relaxation mode. Therefore any work outs may cause muscle soreness, dehydration and possible injury depending on the extent of exercise.
Not at this time. We plan to offer it in the near future.
You are paying for the specific time slot scheduled. In the event you are late, the therapist will start your session as soon as possible and work on you until the end of your scheduled time.
You do not, however, we do ask that you are clean and have showered that day at some point please.
